Nuclear power reactors

The WENRA Reactror Harmonisation Working Group (RHWG) has now assessed all comments from stakeholders on the report published in January 2006: Harmonisation of Reactor Safety in WENRA Countries. 177 specific comments were received on the reference levels and 65 comments of a more general nature. Most of the technical comments were received from The European Nuclear Installations Safety Standards Initiative (ENISS), a consortium of European nuclear utilities. Based on its assessment, RHWG has put forward a proposal to WENRA to clarify a number of the reference levels. The WENRA members are currently studying this proposal with the objective to reach a decision in the near future. The revised set of reference levels will be published on this website.

National Action Plans, on measures to take as a result of the benchmarking, in first version have been developed by all WENRA members and will be published on their national websites.
